GlowBite
Glowbite/Privacy

Privacy policy.
Plain English.

What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to get it deleted. Last updated June 2026.

01.

The short version

We collect what we need to ship you a pouch, send you an email when you ask for one, and measure whether our ads actually work. We don't sell your data for money. We do share limited, mostly-hashed data with advertising and analytics partners (like Meta and Google) to measure and improve our ads — and you can opt out anytime. We keep data only as long as we need to, and we delete it when you ask.

If you'd rather read the full detail, it's below. If something in here doesn't match how we act, email privacy@glowbite.us and we will fix it.

02.

What we collect

Order information. Name, shipping address, billing address, email, phone, and what you bought. This is processed by our e-commerce platform (Shopify) and our payment processors (Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal). We do not store your full credit-card number on our servers.

Account information. If you create an account, your email, order history, and any subscription preferences are stored with Shopify.

Marketing opt-ins. If you subscribe to our email list or SMS, that consent and your contact details are stored with Resend, our email provider. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send or by texting STOP.

Usage & advertising data. Pages visited, links clicked, items added to cart, rough region (city-level), device type, and referring URL. We use the Meta Pixel and, where enabled, Google Analytics 4 — plus Meta's server-side Conversions API, which sends Meta a hashed, non-reversible version of your email so we can tell which ads led to a purchase. These run according to your cookie choice (see Cookies). We respect a Global Privacy Control signal automatically as an opt-out.

Customer support. When you email us at care@glowbite.us or similar, the message content is stored in our help-desk tool.

03.

Why we collect it

To fulfill your orders. To answer your emails. To tell you when your pouch has shipped. To send you emails you've opted in to. To understand which pages of the site are useful and which aren't. That's the whole list.

And to measure and improve our advertising — which ads bring people to the site, which lead to a purchase — and, where you allow it, to show you relevant GlowBite ads on platforms like Meta (Facebook and Instagram). We don't infer sensitive characteristics about you, and we don't sell your data for money. You can opt out of marketing cookies anytime (see Cookies) or with Global Privacy Control.

04.

Cookies & similar

We use first-party cookies to remember cart state and your preferences, the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement and retargeting, and (where enabled) Google Analytics 4 for aggregate usage. How these behave depends on where you are: in the EU, UK, EEA, and Switzerland, nothing non-essential runs until you accept it (opt-in). Everywhere else, analytics and marketing cookies are on by default and you can opt out anytime (opt-out). We don't use TikTok or other advertising pixels at this time.

However you got here, you can change your choices anytime from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, block cookies in your browser, or enable Global Privacy Control — we honor GPC as a valid opt-out of sale/share under CCPA, and it overrides the default above.

05.

Who we share with

Processors we share data with, and only the data they need:

  • Shopify — e-commerce storefront, orders, account records
  • Shopify Payments / Stripe / PayPal — payments
  • USPS / UPS / DHL — fulfillment and shipping
  • Resend — email delivery (only if you opted in)
  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregate usage (GPC-respecting)
  • Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — ad measurement & retargeting; receives a hashed, non-reversible identifier, subject to your consent
  • Our help-desk provider — customer support messages

We don't sell your data for money. Sharing data with Meta for ads may count as a “sale” or “share” under some state privacy laws — which is exactly why we give you the opt-out above and honor Global Privacy Control.

06.

How long we keep it

Order records: seven years (required by tax and consumer-protection law). Marketing contact records: until you unsubscribe, plus one business cycle. Analytics data: rolling 14 months. Support tickets: three years.

07.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, the EU, the UK, and several other jurisdictions — you have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or opt out of its sale or sharing. Email privacy@glowbite.us with the request and we'll confirm within 10 business days and fulfill within 30.

We will never charge you for exercising these rights, and we will never retaliate against you for doing so.

08.

Children

Glowbite is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and we don't market to minors. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, email privacy@glowbite.us and we will delete it.

09.

Security

We follow reasonable, industry-standard controls — encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive fields, access controls, logging, and annual review of vendor security. No online service is perfectly secure, so we also keep the amount of data we hold as small as we can.

10.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the “last updated” date below when we change anything. For material changes (new categories of data, new sharing), we'll email existing customers before the change takes effect.
